Kim Ji-Yeon
Abstract
This study aims at investigating how social recognition abilities differ between one group of preschoolers who show problematic behaviors more frequently and the other who show less. To this end, a survey was conducted on problematic behaviors and social recognition ability among 20 each of 3-, 4- and 5-year-old preschoolers attending the kindergarten "H" in ¡°J"-gun, Jollanamdo, totalling 60 preschoolers. As a result, firstly, the problematic behavior appeared to be lower in the order of 4-year olds, 5-year olds and 3-year olds. Secondly, as a result of investigating social recognition ability according to ages, it appeared to be higher in the order of 5-year olds, 4-year olds and 3-year olds. Thirdly, as a result of investigating the difference in social recognition ability between the superior group(top 20%) in which many problematic behaviors are observed and the subordinate group (20%), the subordinate group's social recognition ability was higher.
