A Study on the Variance of Preschoolers` Abilities of Social Intelligence with Their Problem Behaviors

|
This study aims at investigating how social recognition abilities differ between one group of preschoolers who show problematic behaviors more frequently and the other who show less. To this end, a survey was conducted on problematic behaviors and social recognition ability among 20 each of 3-, 4- and 5-year-old preschoolers attending the kindergarten "H" in “J"-gun, Jollanamdo, totalling 60 preschoolers. As a result, firstly, the problematic behavior appeared to be lower in the order of 4-year olds, 5-year olds and 3-year olds. Secondly, as a result of investigating social recognition ability according to ages, it appeared to be higher in the order of 5-year olds, 4-year olds and 3-year olds. Thirdly, as a result of investigating the difference in social recognition ability between the superior group(top 20%) in which many problematic behaviors are observed and the subordinate group (20%), the subordinate group's social recognition ability was higher.
